Ως μεταδιδακτορική ερευνήτρια στο FAME Lab, η Δρ. Βλιώρα σχεδιάζει και διεξάγει μελέτες στη θερμοφυσιολογία, με έμφαση στην προσαρμογή του ανθρώπου στη θερμότητα και την επίδραση περιβαλλοντικών παραγόντων στην υγεία και την απόδοση. Συμβάλλει στην ανάπτυξη πειραματικών πρωτοκόλλων, στην ανάλυση δεδομένων, σε επιστημονικές δημοσιεύσεις και στη διαχείριση έργων, ενώ παράλληλα υποστηρίζει τη συνεργασία σε διεθνείς ερευνητικές πρωτοβουλίες, την αναζήτηση χρηματοδότησης και την καθοδήγηση νέων ερευνητών.
