Melitini Antonakaki is a research assistant at FAME Laboratory. Her research interests focus on the effects of environmental conditions on human health, especially in vulnerable groups and clinical populations. Her role in FAME Lab is to support the team’s research projects by contributing to data collection and analysis.

Melitini Antonakaki is a graduate of The University of Thessaly’s Physical Education and Sport Science Department, specializing in “Exercise and Health – Recovery Exercise”. Her thesis focused on “Alterations in sweat rates, in warm environments, on healthy persons and patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and interconnected conditions”.
She has been involved in the design and implementation of group and personal exercise programs, aimed at improving the physical condition and health of people with chronic diseases. She has also implemented exercise programs in Retirement Homes at Trikala, as well as in the Hemodialysis Unit of the General Hospital of Trikala, working with patients during hemodialysis sessions.
